Not all of us are seasoned, experienced travelers. My story is one that was seen through the eyes of a novice explorer — unprepared for the ruggedness and unusual experiences that lay ahead, but feeling attuned with the description that read: “For the adventurous and, above all, inquisitive person over and beyond the norm.” The place described was Papua New Guinea — a window on the world before the coming of man. I sought adventure and I found it.
