Murder was never on the menu, but in Greystone Harbor, the festival’s deadliest secret is hiding in plain sight.

Sloane Harper runs the Blue Lantern Café with a sharp eye and a maddening need to reorganize every sugar packet when her nerves take over.

She didn’t plan on solving a murder, but when the town’s most powerful benefactor collapses mid-toast clutching a coded lantern template, her instincts kick in.

Good thing Bailey, her labradoodle, has a nose for trouble and a knack for sitting on exactly the right clue.

Two suspects circle her list: a resentful niece caught burning family documents by the harbor, and a debt-drowning coordinator who argued with the victim minutes before she fell. Both look guilty.

With her vendor license pulled and a warning note under her door, Sloane must expose the truth before the killer buries it and her for good.
